What is the Hedonism Wines tokenised assets (RWA) platform?
The Hedonism Wines tokenised assets (RWA) platform (Platform) lets clients acquire tokenised real-world assets (RWAs) representing rare wines and spirits through secure digital ownership. Each specific physical bottle, case, or curated lot is represented by a blockchain-based digital ownership record linked to a specific physical asset selected by Hedonism Wines and stored until redeemed, subject to applicable terms.
What is an NFT in this context?
An NFT, or non-fungible token, is the blockchain technology used to represent each tokenised asset on the Platform. The NFT functions as a digital certificate associated with a specific physical bottle, case, or lot held in storage. Holding the NFT represents the contractual rights relating to that physical asset as described in the Platform Terms. NFTs do not guarantee future value and should be treated as collectible representations of real-world assets.
Purchasing and Payments
How do I purchase a tokenised bottle?
Create or log in to your Hedonism Wines NFT account, select an available tokenised bottle or lot , and complete checkout with a supported payment method. The purchase will result in the issuance or transfer of the corresponding NFT representing that tokenised asset to your account or connected wallet.
What payment methods are supported?
Available payment methods vary by Release and are shown before you confirm your purchase.
What is a Release?
A Release is a specific offering of one or more RWAs on the Platform. Each Release has its own availability, pricing, and conditions, set out in the Release Specific Terms and shown on the relevant product pages.
Ownership, Storage, and Custody
Do I own the physical bottle when I hold an RWA and/or NFT?
Holding an NFT representing the RWA gives you the contractual right to the associated physical bottle or lot, subject to the Terms and Conditions, Release Specific Terms, and any legal restrictions. The physical asset stays in secure storage until you redeem it.
Where are physical assets stored?
Unless redeemed, physical assets associated with RWAs represented by respective NFTs are stored in secure, climate-controlled facilities managed by Hedonism Wines or approved partners. Storage standards and handling are set out in the applicable terms.
Are the bottles insured while in storage?
Insurance may apply while bottles are in approved storage, subject to insurer terms and exclusions. Where insurance applies, details are in the relevant terms.
Redemption and Delivery
Can I redeem the NFT represented by my RWA for the physical bottle?
Yes. Redemption is optional unless stated otherwise. You may request redemption by following the Platform’s process and providing delivery or collection details. Redemption is subject to applicable laws, delivery availability to your destination, and payment of any outstanding fees.
What happens to the NFT after redemption?
Once the physical asset is released from storage, the NFT representing the RWA may be updated to show it is no longer backed by a stored physical bottle. After redemption, the NFT should not be treated as a claim to a physical asset held by Hedonism Wines.
Which countries can you deliver to?
Delivery availability depends on local laws and carrier restrictions and may change over time. The Platform will confirm if delivery is available to your destination during redemption.
Do I need to be of legal drinking age?
Yes. You must be of legal drinking age in your country to purchase, hold, gift, or redeem NFTs represented by RWAs associated with alcoholic products. Age verification may be required at purchase, redemption, delivery, or collection.
Who pays shipping, duties, and taxes on redemption?
Unless stated otherwise in the Release Specific Terms, you are responsible for shipping costs and any duties, taxes, or import fees. These charges vary by destination and are outside Hedonism Wines’ control.
Can I collect a redeemed bottle in store?
Where offered for a specific Release, you may choose collection instead of delivery. Collection arrangements, identification requirements, and time limits are confirmed during redemption.
Fees, Royalties, and Charges
What fees should I expect?
Depending on your activity and the Release Specific Terms, fees may include network fees, storage fees, delivery charges, and duties or taxes on redemption. Any applicable fees are shown before you confirm a purchase or redemption.
Are there royalties on resale?
Some NFTs may include royalties on secondary sales, as set out in the NFT smart contract or the Release Specific Terms. If royalties apply, they are typically deducted at the point of resale on compatible marketplaces.
Can storage fees apply over time?
Yes. Some Releases include storage for a set period, after which storage fees may apply. Details are in the Release Specific Terms.
Transfers, Gifting, and Secondary Sales
Can I transfer or sell my RWA represented by NFT?
NFTs representing the RWAs can usually be transferred to another compatible wallet and sold on supported secondary marketplaces, subject to applicable terms and laws. Hedonism Wines does not guarantee resale value, liquidity, or support in the marketplace.
Can I gift a my RWA to someone else?
Yes. You may gift an NFT representing the RWA by transferring it to another compatible wallet. The recipient must meet all eligibility requirements, including the legal drinking age, and may be responsible for any fees associated with holding or redeeming the NFT.
Refunds, Cancellations, and Consumer Rights
Do I have the right to cancel after purchase?
Cancellation rights depend on your location and the nature of the purchase. For UK consumers, certain statutory rights may apply. Because NFTs are delivered digitally, your right to cancel may be limited once delivery begins. The applicable position is explained at checkout and in the RWA Terms and Conditions.
What happens if a bottle is faulty or damaged?
If a redeemed bottle is faulty or damaged in transit, contact support promptly with photos of the packaging and contents. Remedies are handled in accordance with the applicable terms and statutory rights.
Wallets, Security, and Risk
Do I need a digital wallet?
To hold and transfer NFTs representing the RWAs, you need a compatible digital wallet. Some purchases may allow card payments, but a wallet may still be required to receive and manage the NFT.
What happens if I lose access to my wallet?
NFTs representing RWAs are controlled by your wallet’s private keys. If you lose access to your wallet, Hedonism Wines cannot recover the NFT. You are responsible for securing your wallet credentials.
Are RWA and/or NFT transactions reversible?
Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed. Errors such as sending an NFT representing your RWA to the wrong address may not be recoverable.
Regulation, Privacy, and Platform Changes
Are RWAs and/or NFTs regulated in the United Kingdom?
The regulatory position varies. In general, RWAs, NFTs and cryptoassets are not regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority like traditional financial products and are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
How is my personal data used?
Personal data is used to operate the Platform, process transactions, manage storage and redemption, and meet legal obligations. Full details are in the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
What happens if the Platform changes or closes?
Ownership of an NFT represented by respective RWA exists on the blockchain independently of the Platform. Storage and redemption services are contractual and handled in accordance with the applicable terms if services change or end.

The NFT on the Platform is a technical blockchain record that represents the digital certificate associated with a tokenised physical bottle or lot. The NFT itself does not constitute a financial instrument or guarantee of value.
