The 1996 vintage was marked by a cool, late season and high acidity, producing wines of notable tension and longevity. This bottling shows refined aromatic precision, with scents of redcurrant, rose petal, and Asian spice over a fine mineral base. The palate is taut and linear, its ripe fruit framed by firm but graceful tannins and a lingering saline freshness.
