The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 in Craigellachie, Moray. Famous for their use of ex-Sherry casks, Macallan has become one of the world`s most sought-after single malts in recent years.

This 60YO released is presented in a stunning Lalique glass decanter & stylish presentation box.

The Macallan Lalique IV 60 Year Old, released in 2011, is a highly collectable and exceptionally rare single malt drawn from whisky distilled in 1950 and matured in sherry butts. Produced by The Macallan, it reflects a historic style of the distillery, shaped by traditional production methods and long ageing.

The profile is deeply complex, showing layers of spiced dried fruits alongside notes of orange peel, apricot and polished oak. Unexpected herbal tones of eucalyptus and rosemary add lift and intrigue, while a subtle yet clearly defined peaty character emerges, a result of the peat dried barley used during that era. This gentle smokiness is earthy and refined rather than dominant, contributing to the whisky’s depth and sense of balance.
