The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 in Craigellachie, Moray. Famous for their use of ex-Sherry casks, Macallan has become one of the world`s most sought-after single malts in recent years.

This 65YO released is presented in a stunning Lalique decanter.

The Macallan Lalique Six, a 65 Year Old single malt and the final release in the Six Pillars Collection, is among the most revered and collectable whiskies ever produced by The Macallan. Matured for over six decades, it presents a deeply layered and contemplative profile that reflects both age and meticulous cask management.

The whisky reveals rich aromas and flavours of dried fruits, dates and raisins, interwoven with dark chocolate, polished oak and gentle notes of vanilla. Spices such as cinnamon and clove add warmth and complexity, while the palate is dense, concentrated and luxurious, unfolding gradually with air. The finish is exceptionally long and composed, marked by depth, balance and quiet intensity.

Some tasters have noted subtle variations between bottles, with certain examples leaning more towards oak driven structure and others emphasising fruit richness. Regardless, it is widely regarded as a masterpiece of long maturation, rewarding patience and contemplation.
