The 2016 Ornellaia from Tenuta dell’Ornellaia is widely regarded as an exceptional release and is often cited among the greatest vintages produced by the estate. It shows remarkable complexity and depth, combining powerful dark fruit notes of black cherry and plum with layers of liquorice, cocoa, clove and savoury earth.
Ornellaia Vendemmia d’Artista celebrates the unique character of each new vintage. Since 2006 an artist has created a work of art and a series of limited edition labels inspired by one word to describe the vintage. In 2016, artist and filmmaker Shirin Neshat, depicted ‘La Tensione’ (Tension). Bottle no. 2 of 10.
