Domaine de la Romanee-Conti are considered by many to be the finest producer of wine in the world. Their vineyards are concentrated around the village of Vosne-Romanee & include some of the most sought after Grand Crus in Burgundy. 2009 is considered by many to be one of the finest vintages for Red Burgundy of the 2000s, held in similar regard to the much-lauded 2002 & 2005 vintage.
The 2009 Romanée-Conti from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is a magnificent young red, overflowing with aromatic spice, bark and potpourri. Full-bodied yet beautifully composed, it shows exceptionally fine tannins with a velvety, polished texture. The length is remarkable, lingering with quiet authority and poise. While it can be enjoyed now with three to four hours of air, it is unmistakably a wine for long-term cellaring.
Notably, Aubert de Villaine has reportedly drawn comparisons between this vintage and the revered 1959, underscoring its stature and promise.
